Welcome to Econ 101. While not all colleges use the same numbering system for their classes, a typical introductory economics course would begin with 101 and 102, or 110 and 120. Some schools actually reserve economics for sophomore level courses, so they will commence with 201 and 202 or 210 and 220. At least something like that.
So the purpose of the subject is not to teach economics, while it is hoped that you will learn something. The purpose is to look at life. Economics is a behavioral science. So the subject is about us. It is about things we do every day. It is about decisions we make.
Over the past few years I have posted several articles that touch upon economics. For that reason, it was considered best to gather these discussions in one place. It is hoped that the articles will not overwhelm you with theory, graphs and mathematics. Rather, it is about ideas and observations of life. It is hoped that in the end you learn something new, but more importantly ask questions and eventually learn something more.
